While looking for mushrooms, three women in Zossen (Teltow-Fläming district) made an explosive and unusual discovery.
On Saturday in the Wünsdorf district of Zossen, they found not only the mushrooms but also a rocket-propelled grenade!
The women called the police, who then called in the explosive ordnance disposal service. The mushroom pickers were lucky: the explosive ordnance disposal service has its headquarters right there, in Wünsdorf.
The experts duly recovered the ammunition, the police said.
