The surprise team of HC Erlangen still has a clean slate after the fourth day of the Handball Bundesliga.
Coach Raul Alonso’s team celebrated an overall safe 32:29 (20:15) win at newly promoted ASV Hamm-Westfalen on Saturday evening and at least temporarily took the lead in the table with 8:0 points.
The hosts, on the other hand, are still waiting for their first point after their fourth game in the upper house.
The guests from Middle Franconia got away with a 4:0 lightning start and were able to keep the lead throughout the season.
Erlangen was never in serious danger and had its best shooter in Tim Zechel (8 goals), Nico Büdel, Christopher Bissel and Simon Jeppsson each scored five times.
Hamm’s Tim Weiling and Savvas Savvas each scored six goals.
