Supreme and Corteiz rule the streetwear world

US streetwear giant Supreme and British streetwear brand Corteiz, known for its guerrilla marketing and limited collection drops, appear to be joining forces.

Cortez stimulated the hype about a possible collaboration with a short teaser video on the social media platform Instagram. In the time-lapse video posted by the Corteiz account ‘crtz.rtw’ on Monday, an advertising space can be seen. A poster with the brand’s logo in white letters on a red background – the Supreme colors – is placed on this. The Corteiz logo is surrounded by the words “Supreme rules the World”.

Further details and whether the collaboration between Corteiz and the brand belonging to the US clothing group VF Corporation is official or whether it is another marketing campaign by the British brand is currently unknown.

About Corteiz

Corteiz drew attention to himself through various guerrilla marketing campaigns and persuaded the primarily young target group to search en masse for mostly secret locations in order to get their hands on the brand’s coveted pieces.

One campaign in particular stood out, which made the London brand internationally known in January 2022: At “da Great Bolo Exchange”, Corteiz asked his followers to come to the meeting point in a branded jacket to exchange them for a puffer jacket from the company Brand to exchange. Particularly popular brands such as Stone Island, Moncler and Canada Goose, but also Supreme, were particularly popular.

In addition to these promotions, the brand’s pieces such as tracksuits, jackets and accessories are offered as limited drops in its own online shop.

This year the brand was also nominated in the ‘New Establishment Menswear’ category at the British Fashion Council’s Fashion Awards. However, the British-Jamaican designer Bianca Saunders impressed at the award ceremony.
