Supporters Roda JC are not welcome in the Telstar stadium this Friday

After consultation, Mayor Dales, the Public Prosecution Service, the police and Telstar have decided that supporters of Roda JC are not welcome at the game next Friday at the Telstar stadium. The hard core of the club from Kerkrade made it so furious last weekend that the ME had to take action. According to the municipality, there would not be enough police capacity in the event of any escalations in Velsen.

Earlier today, Roda JC already reported that supporters are not allowed to travel after the Limburg team. The municipality of Velsen informs NH Nieuws why this has been chosen: “The reason is that a significant part of the hard core supporters of Roda JC caused disturbances in recent weeks. A major police effort was needed in the last game against VVV-Venlo. and even the riot police had to intervene. The police have no capacity for such a large deployment next Friday.”

The municipality also says that it wants to keep the aggression at a distance. “Any disturbances do not fit with the image that Telstar and Mayor Frank Dales want at Telstar’s games.”

Telstar – Roda JC can be followed live on the radio on Friday evening in NH Sport. The broadcast starts at 7 p.m.
