‘Supporters from PSV and FC Utrecht wanted to fight each other’

Since eight o’clock on Saturday evening, the police have gathered with many people and cars at a parking lot on the Oude Rijksweg in Best. According to a spokesperson, she had received information that football supporters wanted to fight each other. It concerns a group of fifty people, possibly fans of PSV and FC Utrecht.

In addition to the police, a van of the Mobile Unit has also been called in. The troops are, among other things, busy with stopping and checking dozens of cars.

According to Voetbal Ultras, the police have been able to prevent an agreed fight between supporters of FC Utrecht and PSV due to their great efforts. A group from Utrecht was stopped; PSV fans were already ready to fight, reports the platform of and for football fans.

Voetbal Ultras calls itself a neutral platform without love for a club, but love for the football culture as it should be.

It is not yet formally known which fans wanted to fight each other: the police could not say anything about it later in the evening.
