Supporter tackled the coach – Severe punishment

On Saturday, there was an incident in the final moments of the Premier League match between Leeds and Newcastle.

A Leeds supporter rushed onto the pitch and tackled the Newcastle coach to Eddie Howe. A person wearing a brown hoodie grabbed Howe by the arm and shoved him in the chest.

The troublemaker also tried to get on the skin of other members of the Newcastle team. He was quickly caught.

Anyone who trespassed on the field was forced away in a tight fist fight. He screamed furiously as he left the field.

According to The Sun the supporter was arrested and banned for life.

The supporter rioted on the field. The Premier League can be watched on Viaplay and V Sport channels.

Howe confirmed after the match that he was fine. The situation was a big surprise for the coach.

– I focused on the game. That’s the last thing you expect to happen. It was so strange, Howe marveled to BT Sport.

– He said something that I cannot repeat. Then he was taken away.

Howe said he had no time to fear in the fast situation. However, the fact is that supporters should not be allowed to visit the teams.

– What happened made me think about what if. Moments like this will hopefully encourage people to analyze and figure out how to improve the safety of players and staff.

– No one should have to face something like that or feel that their safety is threatened.

The match ended in a 2–2 draw.

Leeds is in 18th place in the Premier League, i.e. in danger of relegation. Newcastle is third and level on points with Manchester United.
