The organizers Tribe of Nova mourn their killed festival guests – but announce that they will return stronger than ever.
The organizers of the “Supernova Sukkot Gathering” festival near a kibbutz in the Gaza Strip, where at least 260 people died after a Hamas bloodbath on Saturday (October 7, 2023), have commented on the incidents for the first time. They have their say on Facebook and Instagram:
“Our sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to all the families, friends, partners and couples who have lost loved ones or been affected by the tragic events that unfolded after that magical night, which turned into an extremely difficult morning.
What was planned to be the Nova Tribe’s happiest and largest electronic music festival has turned into a scene of unspeakable tragedy, an inhumane war crime, an unprecedented violation of the most basic human values.
This is the epitome of pure and unbridled evil, the horrific and senseless murder of countless innocent angels whose only ‘crime’ was being Jewish and living in Israel.
It is no wonder that these agents of darkness target this joyous gathering of children of light, for their one and only goal is to bring darkness upon the world. But we won’t allow that!
We will continue to fight until we achieve our goal, which is the flag of our tribe: to spread the light in the world, with the help of the holy people of Israel and the Nova tribe.
Last Saturday, October 7, 2023, we were brutally attacked by hundreds of terrorists, heartless, ruthless and without any mercy. They murdered in cold blood hundreds of women and men, members of our beloved Nova tribe, as well as countless innocent Israeli civilians.
It was a vile, terrible, brutal massacre of innocent civilians from across the country and around the world, the best and most of us. It was one of the largest terrorist attacks in Israel’s history. It took the lives of 1,400 pure and innocent souls, over 150 are still missing, thousands were more or less seriously injured and tens of thousands are psychologically, emotionally and spiritually broken.
At this moment, our production team is focused on providing the right and comprehensive emotional and mental support to everyone involved. That is the most important thing at this moment.
We work tirelessly, day and night, to conduct search and rescue operations, identify the victims and keep their families informed. We search for those in the disaster area or other locations, recover equipment from the area and its surroundings and, above all, ensure the security of Israel.
This is our only goal and we will stand behind it and fulfill it to the best of our ability. We will not stop.
We are present at the disaster site and surrounding areas every day, working hand in hand with security forces and authorities to find answers and bring everyone who can return home to their families and friends.
This is the top priority at the moment. In the meantime, it is important for us to convey the following message: Our strength lies in our unity! We are in a war for our homeland, and it is important that we all come together, strengthen each other, and unite under one great, shining light to overcome this dark time as quickly as possible.
We send endless love and a massive hug to all members of Tribe of Nova and to all Israeli civilians, the injured, those affected and the families of the deceased and missing.
We wish you all to stay safe and take care of yourselves. We continue to pray that good and light will always prevail.
We wish you a peaceful and safe week and good news for all people in Israel. Both in the country itself and around the world.”
