47-year-old Hamid S., owner of a supermarket in Hoogeveen, has been sentenced to twelve years in prison for killing his former buddy, a young father from Enschede. After the victim was shot in the head, his body was dumped in the canal.
The court considers it proven that the man, living in Den Ham, killed the victim. That writes RTV East. It cannot be concluded that there was premeditation, or murder.
In the case, victim Jihad Jafo (32), father of three children, from Enschede had been missing for approximately six months since the beginning of 2022. His lifeless body was then found by passers-by in the Almelo-De Haandrik canal near Bruchterveld, wrapped in a blanket and weighed down with a 17-kilo stand from a fire hose reel.
