The team from Piazza wins against the Callipo tuna that half plays “masquerade” and rises in the standings
Milan-Vibo Valentia 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-13)
Allianz Milano took home their third consecutive victory in this tour de force in January, the second from three points after the 3-1 in Piacenza on the Epiphany. On the other side of the Vibo network, for the second match in a row with more than half a team on the pitch with the mask in an attempt to minimize the risk of contagion in the team, they fight evenly for half of the first set, before giving up the honor of arms to the hosts. Piazza also recovers Daldello (but the deputy Camperi loses due to some ailments) and directs Porro in the direction with Patry opposite, Ishikawa and Jaeschke in the band, Piano and Chinenyeze in the center and Pesaresi free. Baldovin sends Vibo into the field with the same formation on Thursday against Modena, with Saitta on the dribble, Nelli in the opposite direction, second in the Giallorossi, Borges and Basic spikers, Flavio and Gargiulo central and Rizzo free. The start is balanced, with Milan varying the shots a lot and using the lob as a tactical solution several times and, on the other side of the net, Saitta trying to speed up the game as much as possible.
Continuity
–
Vibo, however, cannot find continuity in the band, also thanks to the Milan wall (6 winners in the first set, half by Chinenyeze) which facilitates the reconstruction. And the hosts stretch in the partial half and manage up to 1-0. The Allianz continues to push even in the second set, with Patry passing with good regularity and the service that puts Calabrian reception in difficulty. Baldovin’s team struggles to find consistency and, despite Nelli’s growth compared to the first set, they let Milan escape which they then only have to administer. As well as in the third set, with the hosts who immediately dig the groove and then manage with discrete tranquility up to the Romanò diagonal that closes the match.
