– The war with Russia has several dimensions, and one of them is cyberspace, CEO of Kyivstar Oleksandr Komarov said in a television interview by NBC News including describing Tuesday’s attack as “super powerful”.

The party behind the massive cyber attack is not known for sure, but the Ukrainian security service is investigating the attackers’ connections to the Russian administration.

The problems continue

Kyivstar’s website is still down at the time of writing this article. There is only a message on the site stating that connections were lost as a result of the attack and apologizing for the inconvenience caused to customers. Kyivstar says that it will try to restore connections as soon as possible.

Komarov could not yet say on Tuesday how quickly the connections will be restored.

However, according to the operator, customers’ personal information is not at risk as a result of the attack.

Ukraine has been the target of a large number of different cyber attacks during the war, from the disruption of websites and satellite connections to the penetration of energy infrastructure.
