While the best of the year was determined at the Turkuvaz Media Sports Summit, Galatasaray Coach Okan Buruk, who attended the ceremony, made statements.

First of all, I would like to thank Turkuvaz Media and Fotomaç Newspaper. We received the awards they gave last year. I and many of our football players received awards. That’s why we are very happy. We want to continue the same success this year and receive an award here again next year.

Of course we have a busy fixture. We are trying to participate in such organizations in a busy match traffic. You know, there is the Super Cup final in 4 days. We are aware that the derby we played yesterday did not satisfy people in terms of football. I hope the next match will be both better football and more enjoyable, the way we want it to be.
“WE COULD HAVE BEEN MORE CREATIVE OFFENSIVELY”
While preparing for each match, we analyze all our opponents and prepare accordingly. Derby matches are matches with high concentration. The previous match was Karagümrük match, we do not take this match as a measurement. We got what we wanted in the derby, both in terms of formation and system. We could just be more creative offensively. When we look at the offensive players of both teams, they were below their own performance. They did their defensive duties well, but individually they could have done better.
“SUPER CUP WILL BE DIFFERENT”
Generally speaking, we did not give our opponent any chance to shoot accurately. This shows that we are doing good work in terms of defense. But I can say that we produced less on offense as well. The Super Cup will be a different match. I think this will be a match with less pressure. Our aim there is to play well and win the Super Cup.
