Super Bowl 2024: Usher announces “important guests” for halftime show

The singer has been inspired by Elvis, Sinatra and Prince when planning performances.

It’s supposed to be a real spectacle: Usher will be on stage at the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 11th and play a big gig. Viewers can look forward to “some important guests” during the performance.

Usher wants to represent R&B

In an interview with “Vogue,” Usher talked about his upcoming halftime show at the 2024 Super Bowl. The 45-year-old explained that in addition to “killer choreography” and “big costume changes,” you can also expect some “important guests.” The singer didn’t reveal who exactly they were, but they are said to be “people who represent the architects of R&B”.

Overall, the performance is under the motto of R&B: “This night was specially designed by me so that R&B takes the main stage.” Usher, who is himself a well-known name in the genre, was prepared for the show by Vegas stars like Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, but also inspired by Michael Jackson and Prince.

Usher recently released a teaser video for his Super Bowl gig, explaining that the performance was “30 years in the making.”
