The growing season in the Netherlands is starting earlier and earlier due to global warming, the KNMI reports: three weeks earlier than around 1900. March already has a record number of hours of sunshine. Good for the mind, but bad for the crops. They suffer from frost damage more often, because it actually freezes later in the year.
