Summer weekend provides plenty of interventions at sea

The beach police were again present on the beach and registered eighteen lost children. On Sunday evening, around 10 p.m., the police were looking for a couple in their twenties who had not been seen since 1 p.m. The police also started a search on the water. The couple turned out to be on their way back to Lille and had not informed the group.

Sleep disturbance

It was also busy in the entertainment district last weekend. The police counted about fifty interventions in the night from Saturday to Sunday.

In the night from Friday to Saturday, the police intervened in a hotel in the center. Four men caused a nuisance and, after several reminders, did not want to listen to the hotel management, who then decided to evict them from the hotel. Earlier that evening, the police came by to ask for things to calm down. In the end, the police had to come a second time because the guests’ sleep was again disturbed and the men refused to leave the hotel.

On arrival, the four men were uncooperative and threatening. Finally, a police dog neutralized one of the men. “The dog received several kicks and blows and was taken to the vet. The man also had to go to hospital for treatment after being bitten by the police dog.”

The necessary police reports were drawn up and the guests eventually left the hotel.
