“Summer schools are here to stay,” said Flemish Education Minister Ben Weyts (N-VA) and Interior Minister Bart Somers (Open Vld) on Wednesday. The ministers are allocating ten million euros for the organization of summer schools in July and August 2022. From this year on, the summer schools are structurally anchored in a decree. “The summer schools offer many opportunities, especially for the most vulnerable children and young people,” said the ministers.
