Get your shorts out of the closet, because anyone who looks at the weather forecast will see that the weather will be radiant in the coming week. Has summer really started now? NH News weatherman Jan Visser thinks so.
The umbrellas can stay in the closet, because the nice weather seems to last. Although June has usually been wetter in recent years, things are looking brighter this year. With temperatures of around 20 degrees, we are looking forward to a sunny and especially summery week in North Holland.
Saturday and Sunday
And now the key question: has summer started? Weatherman Jan Visser thinks so: ”It’s slowly starting to get warmer now.” This weekend the weather will be nice with lots of sun. On Saturday the temperature will average around 21 and Sunday between 19 and 20 degrees.
Fresh in the morning
Because the wind continues to blow from the northeast, it can sometimes still feel chilly, says Visser: ”It can feel even colder, especially in the morning, so I would recommend putting on a jacket.”
Anyone who wants to take a dip on the beach this weekend should take into account the cold sea: ”The water is only 14 degrees and the wind is present. Although the sun is nice and warm, the wind can still be treacherous,” says Visser. If you still want to go to the beach this weekend, it’s a good place to stay behind a windshield in the sun.
According to Jan Visser, the good weather will continue for the time being: ”Until June 11, the weather will be nice with warm temperatures and it will remain dry.”
