Telstar has won its last exhibition game in preparation for the new season tonight. Mike Snoei’s team won 5-0 in Velsen-Zuid against Hollandia from Hoorn.
At Telstar, strong holders Özgür Aktas, Ozan Kökcü and striker Glynor Plet were missing due to injuries. Mike Snoei was particularly disappointed that the latter was absent. Without Plet, Telstar lacked a point of contact up front. Still, it was the most forward player to break the spell on behalf of Telstar. Yahya Boussakou crowned the good opening phase of the White Lions with the 1-0.

Ten minutes before the break, Hollandia goalkeeper Joey Wisse was passed for the second time. However, it was central defender Joep Rive who shot the ball behind his keeper and thus put the 2-0 score on the board.

After the break, Hollandia, which was relegated to the fourth division last season, could not do much against Telstar. The home team made it 3-0 shortly after the break thanks to a goal from a corner from Thomas Oude Kotte. It was already his third goal this preparation for the new central defender.
At the end of the match, Telstar went out to a 5-0 victory thanks to goals from captain Anwar Bensabouh and substitute Rein Smit.
