Elche and Almería opened their locker after drawing at Martínez Valero (1-1) after a game full of alternatives and scoring chances that could reward anyone with victory.
The Almeria team struck first through the Nigerian Sadiq. The Nigerian took advantage of a defensive imbalance in the mark to open the scoring with a chopped shot. But Elche was able to restore the equalizer shortly after with the aforementioned goal from debutant Álex hill. He picked up a ball in the area and after several cuts he shot close to the post to return the boards.
In the second half, Almería shot more on goal, but found an inspired Badía, while Elche, despite their dominance, barely managed to finish off with danger between the sticks. With Boyé, Milla and Pastore on the field, they tried until the end against a serious Almería team, albeit without strength, who also sought the winning goal until the end.
