Süle promises top-fit BVB in the Eindhoven duel

In the last few weeks, Niklas Süle has regained his regular place in Borussia Dortmund’s central defense. The 28-year-old now forms the duo in the BVB defense center with Nico Schlotterbeck and has thus played his part in the black and yellow’s recent upward trend. Süle has formulated ambitious goals for himself and his team for the most important game of the current season to date next Wednesday (from 9:00 p.m.).

The defender made it clear in an interview with BVB club media that the only thing that counts for him in the second leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League against PSV Eindhoven is getting through: “I think that we are now in the prime of the season in which we have the seeds and can march,” Süle made no secret of his great anticipation of the knockout game against the Dutch in his home stadium.

After the 1-1 draw in the first leg, BVB has to win the second duel with PSV in order to reach the quarter-finals of the premier class.

“If you can’t march in a Champions League round of 16, then you’re in the wrong place! We’ll do that and we’ll do it with our fans behind us. And then hopefully we’ll move on to the quarter-finals,” said vice-captain Süle its colors.

BVB’s form curve has recently been pointing upwards again

Teammate Jadon Sancho also demands a confident performance from his Borussia in order to be one of the best eight teams in Europe after the game on Wednesday evening: “We know it will be a difficult game, but I think we have an advantage because “We’re playing at home in front of our home fans. We’ll be ready.”

Borussia Dortmund’s form curve has recently been pointing upwards again, with the last two games in the Bundesliga against 1. FC Union Berlin (2:0) and Werder Bremen (2:1) being won.
