Such was the climax of Käärijä’s gig

Käärijä performed his big hit Cha Cha Cha twice at his Helsinki Ice Hall gig.

The curler conquered the Black Box stage of the Helsinki Ice Hall today, May 20. Before the last song of the night, the audience started calling out the song they knew would play next: Cha Cha Cha.

The chords of the big hit from Eurovision started to play and the audience screamed loudly throughout the evening. A tall wooden box, familiar from the five-piece performance, was brought to the stage, on which Käärijä performed his song – wearing, of course, the iconic green bolero. The performance was almost exactly the same as in Eurovision.

When Käärijä had sung his hit and the fans had given shouts of thanks to all the performers, the artist asked the audience a surprising question.

– Would you like one more time?

The crowd responded in the affirmative – they couldn’t get enough of the song. The song that broke the records was therefore performed a second time.

– Now let’s go all in. And everyone gives everything they can, Käärijä encouraged the audience.

During the last act, a high shower of sparks came on stage and the audience danced along. At the end of the gig, Käärijä thanked the audience for a memorable evening and said he was going on vacation.

– Oh my God, thank you! Now the jacket is so empty that I’m going on vacation next. Remember people to take vacations and have fun and take care of each other, Käärijä stated.

– I will always remember this evening. I don’t remember anything about that Eurovision bet, but I’ll always remember this. Thank you! The wrapper thanked once more.

Käärijä’s Cha Cha Cha hit has broken records time and time again. The song has become the most streamed Finnish song of all time on the Spotify music service. Käärijä is currently at the top of the viral list in the United States, Sweden, France and Germany, among others.

The wrapper finished second in Eurovision. The competition was won by Loreen, the representative of Sweden’s wits, who received the highest points from the professional judges. The wrapper, on the other hand, got the highest telephone voice scores, which, however, were not enough to beat Loreen’s professional jury scores.
