The beloved radio voice fell silent on Saturday when the host Olga Ketonen died at the age of 59.

For the past ten years, Ketonen worked at Ylen Radio in Finland. Program Manager Ollie Junes confirms to Iltalehti that Ketonen’s last broadcast was heard on January 19.

Junes and Ketonen knew each other for decades.

– He was a wonderful person and a wonderful colleague. I appreciated him very much. He was also well liked in the work community, says Junes.

Radio Suomi has shared a commemorative publication for Ketonen on its Instagram account.
