The cabbage box is one of the best affordable home meals.
The secret of a delicious cabbage box is in the long frying time and the dark syrup. In a good cabbage box, the cabbages have been simmered until soft and sweet, and the syrup emphasizes the sweetness. Of course, the cabbage box is paired with lingonberries, which you can now find in the forest for free.
Cabbage box cannot be claimed as a quick everyday meal, but the oven still takes care of most of its preparation. It’s easy to correct a little during the preparation phase, if you leave the rice uncooked. In this recipe, the rice is added raw to the pan, which saves one work step.
The cabbage box can also be prepared without rice. By omitting the rice, the box becomes low-carb.
