The British Conservatives will announce on Monday 5 September who will succeed Boris Johnson as prime minister and party leader. Graham Brady, the head of the competent party committee, announced this. Candidates can apply on Tuesday, but will need the support of at least 20 MPs. The first vote will follow on Wednesday.
