The German teams got off to a successful start in the second day of the European League of Football (ELF).
The Cologne Centurions, Stuttgart Surge and Frankfurt Galaxy brought in victories on Saturday evening. For Stuttgart it was the first game of the third ELF season, Cologne and Frankfurt had lost their respective opening games the previous week.
The Surge won 29:20 (6:14) against the Paris Musketeers, the Cologne team of head coach Christos Lambropoulos prevailed 23:14 (14:14) against the Prague Lions.
Frankfurt beat the overwhelmed Fehervar Enthroners in Hungary 48:13 (26:13). A total of 17 franchises in three conferences are playing for the title in the continental competition, eight of which come from Germany.
