Successful Ascension weekend at the coast

There is a strong northeasterly wind on the coast. And with sixteen degrees it is clearly not yet summer. It’s still a bit too chilly for a day out on the beach. But that doesn’t spoil the fun. It is a search on the dike for a place in the sun. The long weekend is over and it was fun.

350,000 tourists on the coast

Westtoer also speaks of a successful Ascension weekend on the coast. The hotels recorded an occupancy of up to 90 percent. The coast had a total of 570,000 overnight stays. That is only 5 percent less than in the top weekend last year. In the extended weekend, 350,000 day tourists also descended on the coast.
