An undersea volcano has erupted near the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu. The East Epi has been rumbling since Wednesday morning local time, spewing ash and gas into the air, Radio New Zealand reported. Air traffic and ships have been ordered to avoid the area, but a tsunami warning is not yet in effect.
