The Jyväskylä floorball team Happe was not awarded a league license for next season, says the F-League in a news release.
The Board of Directors of SSBL Salibandy Oy, based on the F-League, distributed F-League licenses for the season 2025-26 at its meeting on Tuesday. All 12 teams in the F-League Women’s Series received licenses for the new season. On the men’s side, however, the government came to a rare solution for Happe.
With the decision, the club will not play in the F-League in 2025-2026.
-After the discretion, the government decided to find that Happe’s financial situation is not at the level required by the F League. The club has had long -term financial challenges. Leaving oxygen without a league license means that the league is filled with the first Helsinki Hawks, which was first in the Divar regular season.
Hawks’ rise to the F League means change in the regional blocks of the men’s series. Lasb, who had previously played in the southern block, will move to Happe’s place in another block and Hawks will play in the southern block next season.
Happee finished seventh in the men’s F League last season. The team fell in the first round of the playoffs as it lost to the Esport Oilers in the series, 1-4.
Happy Arena, the home field of Happe, filed for bankruptcy in February. The opening of the Arena in Laukaa was celebrated on November 2, 2024.
