Study raises hopes for a major step in curing type 1 diabetes

A study conducted by various international research centers raises hopes for a major step forward in curing type 1 diabetes. For the first time, it has been shown that the use of subcutaneous implants can produce sufficient insulin to stabilize blood sugar levels. This is reported by the Diabetes Research Center of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the UZ Brussel.
