Study finds: Mercedes is the most popular car brand in rap songs

Kollegah alone honors Mercedes with 33 mentions in his tracks.

Rap often focuses on the material things in life. Keyword status symbols. Cars in particular are at the top of the list. These can usually not only be seen in music videos, but are also sufficiently mentioned along with the brand in the song lyrics. In a new study by Spielbank.com.de It has now been shown which car brands are actually most often the focus of rap lyrics. Here we go.

Kollegah often mentions Mercedes and Ferrari

Mercedes has made itself comfortable in first place when it comes to being mentioned in rap songs. The brand has a total of 16,415 mentions in the genre. And the word “Kollegah” was used particularly frequently – 33 times. Here’s an example of one of his texts: “Your crew members live in pedestrian zones and subway stations / Unmentionable punks who collect Mercedes stars / I do it too, only I have Mercedess attached to them” (excerpt from “Schwarzgeld”) .
