Students IKC ‘t Hieker Nust in Hijken are officially first aiders: “They know how to help people in need”

Students of groups 7 and 8 of the integrated child center ‘t Hieker Nust in Hijken are officially first aiders. In four lessons, the children learned to provide first aid in an emergency. On Thursday evening they took the exam and received the Youth First Aid diploma.

At ‘t Hieker Nust they are proud of the achievements of the children. Teacher Arnold Willems: ,,The children now know how to help people in need. We think that’s important. They have the knowledge and skills a first responder needs. They can, among other things, use the stable side position and Rautek grip, but also apply a hand or support bandage. That will benefit them for the rest of their lives.”

The presentation of the diplomas took place with great interest from parents.
