The strongest man in the world cries bitter tears.
It is a drama that is difficult to put into words. “Game of Thrones” star and strength training legend Thor Björnsson (34) still goes public and shares his unbelievable pain with millions of others.
The Icelander, who became known worldwide for his role as “Berg” in the cult series “Game of Thrones”, is now describing on Instagram the saddest moment that he and his wife Kelsey Henson (33) had to go through.
The unequal couple otherwise stands for funny videos. He measures 2.06 meters, she 1.57 meters. The two like to pose in funny poses. But now the images on social media are filled with sadness.
The couple lost their daughter Grace Morgan. The child was stillborn.
The two wrote together: “It is with great sadness that we have to announce that our daughter was stillborn on November 8th at 21.5 weeks. After she was found to have reduced movement, it was discovered that her heart was no longer beating.”
The two pictures show the pain in the hospital bed and also after birth. Both want to use it to process their suffering. The TV star: “Words cannot describe our pain over the loss of our daughter or the joy of having had the chance to spend time with her. She is absolutely beautiful with blonde eyelashes and eyebrows and a smile for her mom and dad. The love we feel for her is overwhelming.”
The “Game of Thrones” star seems to be taking the burden off her chest: “All of our hopes and dreams for her have been taken away from us. But I know we will be together again. Her spirit lives in us and her brothers and sisters.”
Thor Björnsson and his wife ask that the family be allowed to mourn now. A “Game of Thrones” friend told BILD: “He is one of the nicest people on a TV set. This incident is so incredibly sad. I hope the family gets through the situation.”
Björnsson and his wife Kelsey have been married since 2018 and have had a son for three years.
From his entry into the fourth season of the mega-series “Game of Thrones” in 2014 until the finale after season eight, the Icelander played the extremely strong warrior “Gregor Clegane” (“the mountain”). He also won (including in 2018) renowned strength competitions such as the “World’s Strongest Man” competition.
Now he has to have a strong heart for his wife and son.
