Moritz Seider won the NHL duel between the German national ice hockey players.
The tough defender also won with the Detroit Red Wings against Tim Stützle and the Ottawa Senators 5:2 (1:1, 2:0, 2:1) on Saturday evening, providing two assists and celebrating his fourth win in a row.
For Stützle, who recently assisted three goals against the Washington Capitals, a run of three wins ended.
The Senators took the lead at the Canadian Tire Center through Jake Sanderson (17th), but Shayne Gostisbehere (19th), Joe Veleno (25th/48th), David Perron (35th) and Dylan Larkin (41st) turned around the game. Ridly Greig (49th) scored for the Senators, who had significantly more shots on goal (38:23).
Seider was involved in assisting the third and fourth Red Wings goals, but Stützle remained without a scorer point this time.
The Red Wings now have four wins from five games, their division rival Ottawa has three from five.
Both teams missed the play-offs last season.
