Jérôme Boateng has a new club and is continuing his career in Italy. This causes strong reactions.
It’s a social media post that’s causing a stir and discussion. The Italian club US Salernitana reported the transfer of ex-Bayern star and world champion Jérôme Boateng as perfect on Friday – also via X (formerly Twitter). So far, so normal.
But the official X account of 1. FC Nürnberg, specifically the Nuremberg women’s department, also reacted. And this reaction is quite something, because a picture of Katarzyna “Kasia” Lenhardt, who took her own life in February 2021, was posted.
The former model dated Boateng for a while. The relationship lasted around 15 months, but after just a few weeks an incident occurred that later concerned the authorities (you can read more about it here). It was a case of bodily harm.
The explosive thing: After “Kasia” Lenhardt first voiced the allegations, Boateng gave an interview to “Bild” – shortly before her suicide – in which he questioned the credibility of his ex-girlfriend and also assumed she had alcohol problems. The reactions to the interview were violent and triggered a shitstorm against Lenhardt (Here you can read more about it).
