Last year, the Flemish generated an average of 416 kilos of household waste. This is a sharp decrease compared to 2021 and is also the lowest level since 1991. Most of the objectives of the waste plan are being achieved, according to a report from the Flemish Waste Agency (OVAM) on Tuesday. There are still areas for improvement: the amount of litter in Flanders is decreasing more slowly than planned.
