Fifth co-hosting for Scotti and Manzini, at the helm of the satirical news program on Canale 5 until Saturday 30 March 2024
Fifth change of management for the 36th edition of Striscia La Notizia. Starting this evening, Monday 11 March 2024, a couple much loved by the public and consolidated for some time will return behind the counter of Antonio Ricci’s satirical news program, Gerry Scotti and Francesca Manzini.
The new edition of Striscia La Notizia it opened last September 25th with Alessandro Siani And Vanessa Incontrada. By mid-October they had arrived Sergio Friscia And Roberto Lipariremained behind the counter until December 9th, when a golden couple like the one composed of Ezio Greggio And Enzo Iacchetti. Friscia and Lipari had regained command of the program since February 12th and are now ready to take over again.

Francesca Manzini From imitator to presenter

Francesca Manzini will be in her fifth edition hosting Striscia La Notizia after joining the cast of the program as an impersonator of Mara Venier in 2019. The promotion to presenter came in 2020, just alongside Gerry Scotti: “It’s my fifth edition and like in high school I will obtain the high school diploma in knowing how to tell life with curiosity, satire, freedom and lightness. My professor Scotti and my principal Ricci will, unfortunately for them, be proud of me!” , declared the impersonator and presenter.
Gerry Scotti, however, is a veteran of the program. Since 1997, the year of his debut on the satirical news program on Canale 5, Scotti has conducted 554 episodes over the course of 13 editions of the program, surpassed only by Ezio Greggio, Enzo Iacchetti, Michelle Hunziker and the duo Ficarra and Picone. This will be its fourteenth edition.

“I’m still here. As they said at school, it doesn’t seem like it but a year has already passed. Be careful, though: unlike what Manzini says, you have to be aware that when you sit behind the counter in Striscia the exams never end”, said the 67-year-old host.
