Bundesliga soccer club VfL Wolfsburg is loaning the Polish striker Bartosz Bialek to the Dutch first division club Vitesse Arnhem for a year.
The club announced this on Monday evening, confirming a report by the “Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung”.
German second division clubs such as Hannover 96 and Hamburger SV were also interested in the 20-year-old Bialek at times, but Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovac initially wanted to keep the highly gifted center forward as an alternative to Lukas Nmecha.
Bialek switched from Zaglebie Lubin to VfL in 2020 and has played 36 competitive games for Lower Saxony so far.
