Streetwear brand hires logistics experts from Peek & Cloppenburg

Live Fast Die Young Clothin GmbH strengthens its management team and appoints Tobias Wolter to the position of Director Supply Chain.

In this role, Wolter will be responsible for purchasing, logistics and customer service from June 1st, the Düsseldorf streetwear label announced on Thursday. The 48-year-old should coordinate the three areas more closely with each other, so that the supply chain of LFDY is strengthened.

“We have high requirements for the position of Director Supply Chain,” said CFO Karl Krumland. “In addition to the logistical process optimization, it is important to react to the current external influencing factors; from the price development of raw materials, to the situation of freight and logistics costs, to the general shortage of skilled workers across all levels and areas. Our expansion targets continue to be our focus. We are convinced that in Tobias Wolter we have found the right expert with whom we will achieve our strategic goals.”

New head of logistics comes from Peek & Cloppenburg

Wolters joins LFDY from Peek & Cloppenburg. He joined the Düsseldorf fashion retailer in 2016, most recently as Head of SCM E-Commerce. He started his career at fashion retailer Esprit, where he gained “valuable experience in various positions in corporate logistics,” according to the statement. Among other things, he was active as logistics manager for North America at the fashion retailer. Further stations were the Metzingen fashion retailer Hugo Boss and the consulting firm Tailorit.

“Together with my new team, I would like to actively contribute to the sustainable growth of LFDY. To this end, we will develop an overarching supply chain strategy that optimally reflects the planned growth and further internationalization measures and enables scalable implementation,” said Wolter.
