According to a report by “Puck News”, the cast of the Netflix series “Stranger Things” has negotiated new, significantly higher salary ranges with Netflix. The actors of the series are to be remunerated according to four tiered categories for the final season. They set the salaries per person for the entire season and are significantly higher than they used to be. For their work in the third season, the highest paid – Winona Ryder, David Harbour, and Millie Bobby Brown – each received a total of $ 3.15 million.
The new salaries
Category 1 promises the highest fee for the fifth season. According to her, Winona Ryder and David Harbour, the two adult leads of the series, are to be paid. The frame is said to be worth $9.5 million. Category 2 is budgeted at $7 million. After her, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp and Finn Wolfhard will be paid, the original children’s cast. Sadie Sink, who plays Max and only joined the cast in season two, will also be paid under this category. The older teenage roles, played by Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery, are expected to be $6 million each. The rest of the cast is paid according to a fourth category, for which no figures are available. However, it should be “significantly less”.
Millie Bobby Brown
The show’s biggest star, Millie Bobby Brown, has her own separately negotiated deal with Netflix. It therefore did not take part in the negotiations on the frames. Your contract includes significantly more projects than “Stranger Things”. A few more have already been confirmed. These include a Stranger Things spin-off, the fantasy film Damsel, an adaptation of the novel The Girls I’ve Been, and the sci-fi film The Electric State. Exact details are not known. However, she is said to have received $10 million for her starring role in Enola Holmes 2.
The fourth season of Stranger Things was made available to stream on Netflix in two parts in May and July 2022 respectively. The fifth and final season is planned and will consist of eight episodes. A start date is not yet known.
