Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown to star in $200 million film

18-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown has finally arrived in Hollywood. She will star in the $200 million Netflix production The Electric State. The Russo brothers, who already had plenty of blockbuster experience with the last two “Avengers” films, are directing.

According to Netflix, the story is set in a “retrofuturistic past.” Millie Bobby Brown’s character travels across the United States as an orphan with a robot and an “eccentric stray” with one goal: to find her brother. The Electric State is based on the 2018 graphic novel of the same name by Simon Stalenhag.

Filming is slated to begin in October this year. It’s still unclear who will be there alongside Millie Bobby Brown, but rumors are already swirling. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Pratt – an old acquaintance from the Marvel Universe for the Russo brothers – could also join the cast.

The brothers will also produce the film. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have already written the screenplays for all of the Russos’ Marvel films, are responsible for the screenplay.

One Last Time “Stranger Things”

Millie Bobby Brown is best known for her role as Eleven on the mystery show Stranger Things. The last two episodes of the penultimate season will be released on Netflix on July 1st. According to showmakers Matt and Ross Duffer, the Netflix hit will be over after the fifth season. “You just have to say – yes, that’s it, that’s true for me, that’s inevitable. That’s the way it has to be.”
