Police report attacks on emergency services

Before the game, Eintracht Frankfurt fans protested against what they saw as a disproportionate police deployment. When the teams arrived, the supporters left their usual places in the northwest curve. They only took it back after around 20 minutes of play. According to the Frankfurt police, this was preceded by one “Escalation” rival fan groups among themselves, who then started to do so after the emergency services intervened. “to attack them vehemently”. The police then sent additional emergency services, including water cannons, to provide support.

In another post on X (formerly Twitter), the authorities reported that there were folders “harassed and attacked” been. “This was followed by an emergency call to the police for support. The police forces were immediately attacked when they arrived and defended themselves with irritants, among other things.” All of this took place in the entrance area in front of Block 40, not in the block. “To be clear: We will not tolerate attacks on our emergency services!”

Mittelstädt as a pioneer of the Stuttgart leadership

Stuttgart took the lead after a great individual effort from left-back Maximilian Mittelstädt. He kept the ball on his side against three Frankfurters and then played a fine pass to Millot, who in turn passed it off for Undav. And Undav tipped the ball past Kevin Trapp into the goal as it fell.

Eintracht from Frankfurt then had a few opportunities, for example through Dina Ebimbe, who failed with a shot past Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nübel (8th). Or by Ansgar Knauff, whose shot didn’t miss much (12′). When the equalizer did come, it came in a strange way – and the goalscorer was a Stuttgart player: Anton tried to clear a cross from Philipp Max with his head. He also got the ball, but he deflected it so badly that it flew in a high arc into the Stuttgart goal.

Cross from Mittelstädt, header Undav – the lead for Stuttgart

Immediately before the end of the first half, VfB Stuttgart took the lead again. After a cross from Mittelstädt, Undav finished, this time he headed it. And again the ball was in the goal.

For Undav it was the seventh goal of the season in the ninth game. Top scorer Serhou Guirassy watched it from the bench; coach Sebastian Hoeneß had not nominated him for the starting eleven after his long injury.

Missed Guirassy Preliminary decision

In the second half, when the referee was no longer called Brych, Stuttgart had a few chances, but they were unable to score. Substitute Guirassy missed his best opportunity when he appeared alone in front of Trapp but shot just wide of the goal (82′).
