STOXX trading STOXX 50 in the red

The STOXX 50 hardly changed on Thursday.

At 12:09 p.m., the STOXX 50 fell 0.18 percent to 4,227.46 points in STOXX trading. At the start of trading there was a discount of 0.025 percent to 4,234.15 points on the price board, after 4,235.22 points the day before.

The STOXX 50’s low on Thursday was 4,224.99 units, while the index reached its highest level at 4,241.62 points.

This is how the STOXX 50 moves over the course of the year

Since the beginning of the week, the STOXX 50 has already increased by 0.404 percent. A month ago, on January 8, 2024, the STOXX 50 was trading at a valuation of 4,102.86 points. Three months ago, on November 8th, 2023, the STOXX 50 had 3,884.10 points. A year ago, on February 8, 2023, the STOXX 50 had a value of 3,888.32 points.

The index has already increased by 3.31 percent since the beginning of 2024. The current annual high of the STOXX 50 is 4,250.97 points. The annual low, however, was registered at 4,010.21 points.

The winning stocks in the STOXX 50 are currently BAT (+ 6.64 percent to 24.73 GBP), Unilever (+ 2.56 percent to 40.02 GBP), UBS (+ 1.63 percent to 24.29 CHF) , DHL Group (ex Deutsche Post) (+ 1.54 percent to 42.74 EUR) and Richemont (+ 1.36 percent to 130.90 CHF). Meanwhile, the losers in the STOXX 50 are AstraZeneca (-5.22 percent to 99.42 GBP), Bayer (-2.18 percent to 28.08 EUR), Novartis (-1.60 percent to 89.28 CHF), Zurich Insurance (-1.54 percent to 434.60 CHF) and HSBC (-1.23 percent to 6.20 GBP).

These stocks have the largest trading volume in the STOXX 50

The BP share is currently the most traded share in the STOXX 50. 5,218,560 shares were recently traded on the home stock exchange. In the STOXX 50, the Novo Nordisk share has the largest stock market value with a market capitalization of 486.314 billion euros.

Focus on fundamental key figures of the STOXX 50 stocks

According to FactSet estimates, Bayer shares have the lowest price-earnings ratio (P/E) in the STOXX 50 this year. A P/E ratio of 5.17 is expected here. BAT stock is expected to offer a dividend yield of 10.54 percent in 2024, according to FactSet estimates, the highest in the index.
