Tomorrow will be haunted: a depression with heavy gusts of wind up to 100 kilometers per hour accompanied by a lot of rain will pass over the province in the morning. NH weatherman Jan Visser warns: “Beware of breaking branches and bring in loose things such as plants and containers.”
Now the wind is still blowing from the southwest, but that direction will change to the west tonight. At the moment it is still calm, but tonight the upper land will be stormy and it will start to rain.
Code yellow
Code yellow will be issued from tomorrow morning and it will blow strongly with a wind force between 6 and 7. During the morning, that wind force will increase and gusts of wind may occur between 90 and 100 kilometers per hour. This is accompanied by a lot of rain: locally, according to Visser, up to 50 milliliters can fall.
Even more intense
According to storm chaser Wouter van Bernebeek, the course of the storm has become more westerly. According to him, this would mean that in more regions there is a chance of very strong wind gusts of up to 120 kilometers per hour.

Because of the summer, the risk of damage is extra high. Trees are in full leaf, so Visser warns against branches that can break off more quickly. He also warns against building materials that are not fixed, and bins and chairs that can quickly blow away. “So put it inside,” says Visser.
