Storm, rain and frost: this is the weather forecast for November in Zoetermeer

Get your (storm) umbrella out of the cupboard, because it can get stormy in Zoetermeer. Jaco van Wezel, meteorologist at WeerOnline.nltells us more about the November weather forecast.

Jaco: “In the first half of November it is generally wet and quite stormy with mild temperatures. At this time of year the average temperature is about 11 degrees during the day and about 5 degrees at night. Now we are often above that, with mainly mild nights. Sometimes the temperature does not drop below 10 degrees. It feels colder because the wind blows strongly from the southwest on most days.”

‘Chance of storm’

According to Jaco, there is a chance of a storm in the first two weeks of November. “Do you have many trees in the garden or in your Zoetermeer street? Then you will have to start clearing leaves. Due to the leaf fall during this period, the trains will have to deal with slippery tracks on the wooded routes.”

Scratching windows

The second half of November will be less turbulent than the first half. Still, a normal to slightly above normal amount of rain is expected. The chance of real winter weather is small, but it can freeze at night. Jaco: “Do you travel by car? Then take into account some delays due to fog or because you sometimes have to scratch the car windows.”
