Storm: no trains between 2 pm and 7 pm, crowded stations
That is what Thomas Baeken of rail network operator Infrabel says. Train traffic will gradually recover from 6 p.m. Trains will continue to run in the Kempen, Limburg, Flemish Brabant and Wallonia. Their speed is limited to 80 kilometers per hour.
High-speed trains are not allowed to go faster than 160 kilometers per hour.
Infrabel calls on train passengers to return home in the morning if possible.

Crowds in stations
Now that many schools have decided to close their doors earlier, it is extremely busy at the stations. Pupils, students and employees want to get home as soon as possible before the storm hits. In Bruges, for example, it is very busy in both the train station and the buses.
