The storm “Nadia” reached Berlin in the evening and caused the first damage and one seriously injured passer-by.
In Beelitz in Brandenburg, a billboard fell on a pedestrian and seriously injured him. According to BZ information, the man had to be resuscitated. Investigations into the background are ongoing, the storm probably tore the poster from its anchoring and then fell on the passer-by.
At around 9:30 p.m., a large branch broke off in Eschenbachstrasse near Trojanstrasse in Treptow in the Baumschulenweg district, burying a VW bus. Firefighters had to cut the vehicle free with a chainsaw.
The vehicle was a total write-off.
At around 10:30 p.m., a tree fell on two vehicles on the fish train in Friedrichshain on the Alt-Stralau peninsula. The fire department repaired the damage.
A tree had previously fallen onto the tracks on the S2 S-Bahn line. The route was interrupted between Marienfelde and Lichtenrade.

In northern Germany, there were massive problems with the railways. The Hamburg – Berlin route was also affected. Long-distance traffic was partially discontinued.
According to the German Weather Service, the storm will increase in the second half of the night. Wind speeds of more than 80 km/h were measured at Schönefeld Airport on Saturday evening.
