Storm Louis has caused few problems within our provincial borders. There have been reports of (minor) storm damage throughout the province. In Meppel, parts of an awning blew loose. The damage was greatest in Klazienaveen, where the wind blew the roof covering off a house.
The KNMI announced code yellow yesterday morning due to strong gusts of wind in the evening hours. During the day the system was scaled up to code orange. Code orange is issued by the KNMI if wind gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour are possible.
Code orange was in force between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM last night, and code yellow was still in effect until 2:00 AM last night.
