We are mangled by the NAM and the Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZ). And we are not about oil extraction or waste water, but as residents we are made responsible for agreements at the care table in case things ever go wrong. That is the message the opponents of wastewater injection from oil extraction in Schoonebeek give to members of the House of Representatives.
No complete permanent House of Representatives committee visiting Schoonebeek today. Time was too short for that. But four northern MPs. And they conclude from VVD to SP: things are not going well in Schoonebeek. Whereas recently it was NAM and EZ’s turn to explain why injecting untreated wastewater into the soil is the best and most environmentally friendly solution, now it’s up to the opponents.
Stop Afvalwater Schoonebeek (SAS), Dorpsbelangen Schoonebeek and residents who are sitting at the unburdening table are pouring at the same pace at which NAM and Economic Affairs want to restart petroleum extraction, all about Agnes Mulder (CDA), Mark Strolenberg (VVD), Sandra Beckerman (SP) and Henk Nijboer (PvdA). A lesson in dealing with residents by the government and NAM in 60 minutes.
