A satirical espionage comedy Stop Nyqvist was supposed to start as early as last month, but Yle was rumored to have shelved the series at the time.
However, in the end, the shelf turned out to be only a temporary decision, as Stop Nyqvist starts today on TV1. Initially, according to Iltalehti, the problem was that Yle feared that viewers would not be able to distinguish fact from fiction. In the series, Russia launches a hybrid operation against Finland. In the shadow of the Ukrainian war, the series was considered frighteningly topical. However, it’s about black humor and comedic fabrication.
