Clothing retailer Stone Island has opened a new flagship store in the center of the Bavarian capital, Munich. The brand, which belongs to the Italian fashion group Moncler Group, now uses a total area of 360 square meters at Perusastraße 2, which extends over three floors.
In addition to the sales rooms, the store offers a “community area with tiered seating for lectures and events as well as the exhibition of special Stone Island pieces in the basement,” the company said.
The international shopfitting concept developed by Stone Island in cooperation with the renowned architects OMA/AMO was also used in the new shop. It was supplemented by “unique design details that can only be found in the store in Munich,” according to a statement.
“To validate Stone Island’s commitment to innovation, three guest designers have designed unique pieces for the store’s interior,” said the outerwear specialist. These are lighting elements by Tim Hooijmans, seating furniture by Tim Teven and an aluminum display case by Elvis Wesley, in which “constantly changing special collections are on display”.
