Stomach kick for a Finn who had a blast in Lahti: “Very difficult feeling”

On Friday, he grabbed the first World Cup podium in his career Lauri Vuorinen missed the free sprint qualifying in Lahti on Sunday. Vuorinen was 36th and missed the first place in qualifying, Johannes from Kläbo 9.69 seconds.

– I noticed right away during the warm-up that it was a very difficult feeling. There was no sharpness left at all. It was really tiring, the Finnish skier commented.

– It’s sad to think about the sprint cup, that I got a stomach bug. There would have been something to give, but now there will be a loss. The weekend is still really positive.

The best Finn in the men’s qualifying skied to 17th place Verneri Poikonen. They also skied to the batch stage Joni Mäki, Emil Liekari, Verneri Suhonen and Niilo Moilanen.
